Chidinma Ojukwu, the girl wey everybody dey talk about say she kill Super TV Oga, Michael Usifo Ataga, don finally talk her own side of the story for court. She talk am for Lagos High Court for Tafawa Balewa Square on Thursday.
Chidinma, wey been dey study Mass Communication for University of Lagos, talk with tears for eye how things take happen before Ataga die.
She say that day start normal. After she go buy food and juice, she come back to the house wey dem rent together for Lekki, only to see blood everywhere and Ataga lie down for floor, no move.
She say, “I knock many times. Nobody answer. I push the door and see blood full ground. E dey lie down, im eye half close… no pulse,” she talk with fear.
But that no be the end of her talk.
Chidinma say she and Ataga start to dey do lovey-lovey since November 2020. She say na one of their friend, Fiyin, wey dey date Ataga friend, James, introduce dem.
She talk say the oga been dey give her money and been dey help her pay school fees and buy make-up.
The 21-year-year-old talk say Ataga invite her make dem spend time together before im birthday. Because dem dey do house work for Ataga house for Victoria Garden City, dem decide to rent short-let. She say na for that house the bad thing happen.
Her story change when she talk say dem been dey drink, smoke, and buy weed and rohypnol, wey be drug wey dey make person sleep, the night before Ataga die.
She say na Ataga give her N15,000 for the drugs and later N25,000 for food.
On June 15, Chidinma say Ataga tell her to go buy more weed, but e no fit transfer money because of bank problem. She go out again, this time to buy food and juice, but she delay small because dem confuse her okro soup order.
When she come back, she see blood everywhere. “I push the door… blood full ground… I check for pulse, e no dey,” she talk.
Wetin surprise people for court be say Chidinma say she no call police or shout for help.
Instead, she wipe the blood from her body, change her clothes, pack her things, including Ataga bank statement, ID card, and one brown envelope wey get document of one Mary Johnson— then run comot for the house with cab. She carry some jewelry too.
Court room been quiet like grave as she talk this story, but police people sure say she no talk everything.
Dem don postpone the case till April 28, 2025, for dem to continue to hear am.
