Federal government workers wey dey work for Oyo State say dem don start strong head strike on Tuesday. Dem say dem no go work again until federal government pay dem their five months salary wey remain.
Na under one group wey dem call Federal Workers Forum (FWF) these workers dey, and na for the front of the federal secretariat for Ibadan dem gather to talk say the strike don start.
The workers swear say dem go continue the strike until federal government do wetin dem want.
The National Coordinator of FWF, Comrade Andrew Emelieze, and the Secretary General, Comrade Itoro Obong, talk when the strike start say dem don give federal government 21 days before now to do something, but dem no do anything.
The two of them say wetin the workers want be say make dem pay the five months salary award money wey remain sharp sharp, and make dem start to pay the 40% special money and all the money wey dem suppose don pay since.
Dem say, “As we talk before, we federal workers for Nigeria don start strong head protest for the whole country today, 22nd April, 2025, so that federal government go do justice for us.
“We don give federal government 21 days before now to look our problem, but our government no even look our face.
“But we don start the strong head protest, and today wey be day one, everything go well and peaceful as federal workers for everywhere for the country join the protest and dem gather for different federal government office even though plenty security people dey around.
“Na strong head protest and we go continue until FG do wetin we want.
“Wetin we want no be too much. Make dem pay the five months salary award money wey remain sharp sharp.
“Make dem start to pay the 40% special money and all the money wey dem suppose don pay since. Make dem look the heavy tax wey dem dey cut from federal workers’ small salary again.
“We no go stop to tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to think about how e dey treat Nigerian workers. Everything wey Mr President don do show bad example, e no support workers and e dey make life hard for federal government workers.”
