One group of people wey their work na to dey push for peace and good government don come out dey talk say make dem sharply investigate the head oga of National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila, say dem hear rumour say the man no get correct National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate.
During one meeting with news people for Abuja on Thursday, one Comrade Isa Yakubu, wey gather the group, talk say their mind dey cut for the news say Lanre Gbajabiamila no get NYSC certificate. He say na must for all Naija graduate wey no reach 30 years, and na important thing wey dem dey look before person fit hold big government office for Nigeria.
Yakubu point out say NYSC certificate no be just paper, but e show say person serve the country and e bring unity, so if person no get am, e mean say that person don break trust.
The group tell National Assembly, security people, Ministry of Youth Development and NYSC say make dem start proper investigation ontop the matter sharp sharp.
The group promise say dem go watch wetin dey happen well well and dem go fight for justice, make sure say law follow due process and no big man for government go escape scrutiny.
Yakubu talk say: “We, the Coalition of Civil Society Groups for Peace and Good Governance, our heart dey heavy for the news wey dey go around about the papers of Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila, the Director General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission. We hear say Mr. Gbajabiamila maybe no get valid National Youth Service Corps certificate, and na important paper for Naija graduate wey no reach 30 years, and dem dey look am well well before person fit hold government position for Nigeria.
“Our small investigation show say Mr. Gbajabiamila no get this important paper, and e dey make us doubt if he even suppose dey lead NLRC, the place wey dey look after big money business for our country. Government office na serious thing. All government people must follow law and do correct thing to make sure Naija people trust dem and our government work well.
“Because of this, we dey tell National Assembly, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and NYSC say make dem start strong investigation ontop this matter now now.”
This talk dey come out after some news in February this year say Gbajabiamila no get correct NYSC certificate.
Meanwhile, Lanre Gbajabiamila himself never talk anything about the matter.
