Omo hear the latest gist from Kaduna State o! The government wey dey now don put leg down and say dem don cancel all the way the former Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, take sell government houses and plots of land before him comot office. Dem say all those things no follow again.
The places wey this new rule dey affect na inside big schools like Alhuda-Huda College wey dey Zaria, Queen Amina College wey dey Kaduna town, and Government Commercial College still for Zaria side. So, if you buy any house or land for inside these places through the old government, forget about am o!
Na the big man wey dey write for the government, wey dem call Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. AbdulKadir Mu’azu Meyere, announce this news on Tuesday. He use paper wey government give out to tell everybody.
He explain say the government take this strong decision last year because dem dey think about the good of everybody and how e go make life better for the public.
The paper wey he give out talk say, "Because this present government under our oga Governor Uba Sani really care about how our young people go learn well and make sure everywhere good and comfortable for teachers to teach and students to learn, dem don say all those sales of government houses and land wey dem do inside those colleges before, e no valid again." Meaning, dem don cancel am completely.
Dr. Meyere no stop there, he still talk say the government dey already find way to pay back all the money wey those people wey buy the land and houses pay to the government before. He say dem go put every single kobo back into the government’s own bank account. So, if you be one of those people, expect your money back soon.
The SSG even remind people about one good thing Governor Uba Sani do when he first enter office. He say on August 21, 2023, the governor cut the money wey people dey pay for school for government universities and other big schools by half! E show say this new government really care about education.
Dr. Meyere also open mouth talk say for the past two years, the government don do plenty work for education. He say dem don build more than 2,336 brand new classrooms. Dem also fix up over 707 old classrooms wey don spoil. And dem even give out more than 34,000 good chairs and tables for teachers to sit down and for students to learn well.
As if that one no enough, he say the state government don dig 51 new boreholes to get clean water and dem don put 918 new toilets for schools across all the local government areas for the state. All this one na to make sure the place dey clean and good for learning.
Finally, Dr. Meyere end his talk by saying, "Education no be just something wey make everybody the same level, but na like a ladder wey person fit use climb up to change their life for good and make their living better." So, this government dey take education serious serious!
