After their big meeting for Ilorin, the nurses complain say government no dey look their matter wey dey pain dem about their work and how dem dey live. Dem say even after plenty letter, government still no do anything, and this one dey vex all the nurses for the state.
One of the main things wey dem want na for government to start paying graduate nurses the correct salary wey Federal Government don approve since, wey be Grade Level 10, CONHESS 09. Dem say Kwara State still no dey pay this one.
Other things wey dey vex dem include government no gree add 25 percent to their CONHESS salary like Federal Government talk, the call duty allowance no correct, and government no dey hire more nurses even though hospitals for the state no get enough staff.
The nurses say the shortage of staff dey make the few nurses wey dey work tire pass their power, and plenty nurses dey run go find work for other places. Dem beg government to hire more nurses quick quick to fill the empty spaces for the health sector.
The union say because all their leaders agree, dem dey give government 15 working days, starting from April 16, 2025, till May 8, 2025, by 10 o'clock in the morning, to settle all these things. Dem warn say if government no do anything before that time, dem no go get choice but to stop work.
