Lagos State Police don come out dey yarn say that news wey one paper write say dem catch hundreds of Boko Haram people for different parts of Lagos na big lie!
The police mouth-piece, Benjamin Hundeyin, drop statement on Thursday say the big oga for police order quick investigation about that news.
After dem check well-well, police say dem no catch anybody like that for anywhere for Lagos.
The statement continue say police even go visit all those trailer park and communities wey the paper mention. The leaders, the people wey dey run the park, and the drivers all say dem no see or catch any Boko Haram suspect.
Apart from going to those places, police send their secret detectives, the State Intelligence Department (SID), and other security people go confirm the story.
After all the checking, dem confirm say nobody for those places sabi anything about Boko Haram people or any arrest.
Police say that news na "complete lie, wicked, and with bad intention," say dem just want make Lagos people fear and tension rise for no reason.
Police tell Lagos people make dem no mind the news and continue their normal business without fear, say police still dey ready to keep peace and security for the state.
Police also beg the media people make dem dey check their information well before dem write am, say make dem no spread fake news wey fit make people panic.
The Lagos State Police Command promise the public say dem safe and dem go continue to provide good security for the whole state.
