Na on Sunday that Pastor wey dey lead The Citadel Global Community Church blast the Senate for suspending Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and for agreeing with President Bola Tinubu on the Rivers State emergency.
He even accuse our leaders for trying to turn Nigeria to "mafia state" and he slam the Senate for the part dem play for wetin he call "institutional immorality" (like big people for government dey do bad things).
Pastor Bakare talk say, "The two main people wey dey compete for this bad things wey big people for government dey do competition na the government people and the people wey dey make law (National Assembly)."
But on Tuesday, the Senate, through their talk-talk person, Yemi Adaramodu, answer Bakare for public, say even though everybody get right to talk their mind, if the talk dey cross line, dem no go keep quiet.
The statement wey Adaramodu sign say Bakare talk too general things and use bad words wey fit make people no trust the government work again.
Adaramodu say dem know Pastor Bakare as person wey dey talk things wey make people think before, but this time around, his talk no build anything, instead e full of disrespect and things wey he no prove.
Adaramodu say, "Pastor Bakare, as a pastor and politician, don talk things before wey make people reason well. But this last talk him own, e no be good advice, e just full of bad words and things wey he no show evidence."
The Senate talk-talk person even call Bakare talk "biased and political church sermon," meaning e think say maybe politics dey inside the pastor talk.
Adaramodu also remind people say Bakare na trained lawyer and politician before, so he suppose know the rules about wetin person fit talk for public, especially about things wey dey court.
Adaramodu say, "So, he know well well the rules for wetin person fit talk for public - especially for things wey dey go court already."
He also make it clear say the Senate no go put mouth for any matter wey dey court, because dem respect law and how the court dey do their work without anybody interference.
The Senate also talk about wetin Bakare say, say the National Assembly suppose dey challenge the government openly. Dem say that kind show na just "acting."
Adaramodu say true way for the people wey make law to check government no be by fighting all the time, but by working together with rules and getting good results.
He say, "Even though some people fit think say if National Assembly and government dey fight, na sign say dem dey check each other well, we need to make una know say that kind fight, even if some people like am, no mean say the people wey make law dey do their work well."
Senate Say Bakare Talk About Third-Term Agenda Na Lie
Adaramodu also say wetin Bakare talk about the "third-term agenda" (saying some people want to stay in power more than two terms) no be true. He say nobody for government don ever come to the 10th National Assembly with that kind bad idea.
He argue say everything wey the Senate dey do na according to the constitution, and to dey badmouth the whole Senate because of personal anger or different political views no fair and e no go help our democracy.
Adaramodu talk say, "To dey throw bad mouth for the entire Senate because of your own personal vexing, because your eye no see things the same way with us, or because you dey position yourself for future politics, e no just fair at all and e no go help our democracy journey."
Adaramodu say e believe say time go come when Pastor Bakare go see the work wey the Senate dey do and even praise the 10th National Assembly for doing wetin go better for Nigerians. He beg make people dey look the Senate work with better understanding, especially with all the wahala wey dey for ground now.
He say, "We sure say, if Pastor Bakare take time check how the 10th National Assembly dey work with all the problem wey we dey face now, maybe in the future, he go even hail them for doing wetin go good for all Nigerians, just like the constitution talk."
