Ah, wahala dey o! Serious water problem don hit Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area for Nasarawa State. People dey suffer big time because water no dey. Dem no see clean water drink, cook, or even use bath.
Imagine say people dey go scoop dirty water from stagnant pool, small pond, the kind water wey animal dey shit and piss inside, and all kind dirty things dey float inside. Na that kind water dem dey use for everything now because dem no get choice.
For one place wey dem call Angwan Kuje, one woman wey her name be Adefu Ruth, she talk say she dey vex well well. She say for two months now, tap water no flow for their area. Na that dirty water dem dey manage because no other option dey.
One man too, Luka Akiwa, him talk say na shame because dem get Senator, Commissioner for Water Resources wey their house no far from where people dey fetch this dirty water from hole. He even talk say dem get House of Assembly member and Councilor wey come beg for vote for their house, but now dem no fit do anything about the water problem.
Another woman, Jane Albert, she cry say the water dey smell and the color dey change everyday. But she ask wetin dem go do? She say no be everybody get money buy pure water or get strength waka far go find clean water.

The leaders for the area say the problem happen because many borehole don spoil, well don dry up, and the government water system don scatter.
Even though people dey complain plenty, the Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development for Nasarawa State, Muluku Aggah, wey even be person from Nasarawa Eggon, never talk anything about the matter for public.

But one worker for the ministry, wey no want make dem mention his name, say the ministry know about the problem. He say dem dey try fix some of the broken borehole, but he no fit say when exactly water go start to flow again for the communities wey dey suffer.
